DVD and Video Conversion Guide -- Step by Step

Below is the conversion procedure guiding you to convert DVD movies or videos to popular video formats such as MPEG, mp4, 3GP, WMV and AVI for iPod, iPhone, PSP, mobile phones (e.g. Nokia series: N95, N93, N73,N75, E62, 5300, 6555, etc.), Apple TV, Microsoft Zune and other portable media players.

Part 1: How to add DVD movie?
Click “Open DVD” to add DVD files. In the popup window, select DVD Drive and add DVD movies that you need to convert, as shown in the picture below.





Part 2: How to add video files?
You can add video files from different sources: your hard drive, video websites such as YouTube and Google Video, and even from DV. Click “Add Video” to add video files. In the popup window, select video files that you need to convert, as shown in the picture below.



Part 3: How to add video files in batches?
You may need batch conversion. If so, click “File” and select “Batch Add Video Files”, as shown in the picture below.



In the popup window, select the folder that contains video files and Click “OK”, as shown in the picture below.



Part 4: How to add video from DV?
Click “File” and select “Capture Video from DV”, as shown in the picture below.



Part 5: How to delete the added videos?
When you need to delete the added video files, you may right-click on the selected video and then choose “Remove” to delete the selected one or choose “Remove All” to delete all added video files, as shown in the picture below.



Part 6: How to choose output formats?
There are different output video formats on the drop-down menu. Relevant portable players are listed with the supportable formats such as MPEG, mp4, 3GP, WMV and AVI. Select one that you need, as shown in the picture below.



Part 7: How to customize the output video such as video size, video bitrate and audio bitrate?
After that, the bottom right of the window displays the settings of the selected video files. You can customize the property of the output files here such as output duration, video size, video bitrate and audio bitrate, as shown in the picture below.



You can also customize output video in Parameter Setting. Click shortcut button, as shown in the picture below.



Or click “Edit” > “Options”, as shown in the picture below, and you will see the window “Options” for parameter settings.



You can adjust relative parameters such as audio and video parameters, as shown in the picture below.



Part 8: How to trim video that you need?
If you just want the excellent part of the video, you can trim the video. Press “play” and select the beginning. Then, press “Start to trim” button. Hold the click to move the blue dot again and select the end of video and press “stop to trim” button. For more accurate conversion, you can change the number at “Start Time” and “Stop Time”, as shown in the picture below.



Part 9: How to get the input movie converted?
Click “Encode” to start video conversion, as shown in the picture below.



Part 10: How to get the converted video?
Click “Folder” to get the converted video, as shown in the picture below.



Part 11: How to extract sound tracks in MP3 format from video clips?
Click the button and select “MP3 Audio (*.mp3)” on the drop-down menu, as shown in the picture below. Then, follow the steps in Part 9 and Part 10.
